I just can’t make this stuff up! I heard this story on Jay Leno and looked it up only to find out that it is true. A California man is suing BMW after ride on a motorcycle with a ‘ridge-like seat’ which gave him a permanent erection and precluded him from engaging in sexual activity.
Henry Wolf is seeking compensation for lost wages, medical expenses, and emotional distress from the BMW motorcycle manufacturer and the seat-maker Corbin-Pacific.
He says the ride left him with a two-year erection and a wealth of other problems….and perhaps a lot of girl friends!
Plaintiff alleges that this condition was caused by the ridge-like seat on his motorcycle, negligently designed, manufactured and/or installed by defendants, BMW and\or Corbin-Pacific.
Wolf apparently fitted his bike with an after-market seat to make his motorcycle rides more comfortable. But instead of the ease he was hoping for, he’s been plagued by the distressing condition of priapism (a long lasting erection).
That’s why, if Henry Wolf’s motorcycle-seat erection lawsuit heads to court, medical experts will likely be needed to testify about his unique condition. It’s likely BMW and Corbin-Pacific are already revving up for a vigorous defense.
So what the bottom line? I suggest that in addition to using a helmet, as most states require when riding a motorcycle, you also check out the seat! Will keep you posted as more details emerge!
